The elections will take place during the Back to School on September 7th, 8th, 9th.
The SchoolSite Council is composed of an equitable number of staff and parents representing a term of two years. The Council meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 2:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The School Site Council is responsible for overseeing the implementation of various programs at the school, including state and federal programs. The School Site Council is a government team responsible for deciding how to invest funds classified by category to improve the educational program here at Encanto Elementary School. Each school in the school district receives a different amount of money, based on enrollment. The members of the School Council work together, set goals to improve academic performance at the school, and allocate funds to meet those goals.
We have two parent/community positions available for the next school year. Our first meeting for the new elected representatives will be on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 2:30 to 4:00 pm via Zoom conferencing. The Council will review the meeting dates for the 2020-21 cycle during the first meeting. The nomination is for a two-year position. The term of the membership is from October 2020 to September 2022.
The agenda of the meeting is published in our office at least seventy-two hours before the meeting and we publish the minutes on our website. All school staff, parents and members of the public are welcome to attend.
Working together we make a difference for our students!
